Califon United Methodist Church is a historic sanctuary welcoming everyone. The Top O'th Barn Thrift Shop is our mission center that helps provide the funds that allow us to serve community members and organizations in need.

Shop the thrift shop on Wednesdays 3pm-6pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm.

Donations are accepted only on Wednesdays 3pm-6pm and Saturdays between 1pm and 3pm. See a volunteer before so we can confirm your items are acceptable.

Do NOT drop off items when the Thrift Shop is closed as the police will be contacted. We do not want items left on our porches because we care about your items being damaged by weather or animals.

Shop with Us

Our store is currently open on Saturdays 10am-2pm. We are seeking volunteers please email us at [email protected] and we will send you the application.

See the list below for the type of items that we accept. Please limit donation size to two containers or two kitchen-sized garbage bags so we do not delay you while we sort your items. Gently used, clean clothing, and new clothing are acceptable. A number of our customers are younger so current fashion wear for men and women is encouraged.

We do not accept car seats, high chairs, cribs, baby toys, or recalled items. You will return home with these items.

While we love books, we do not have space for textbooks. Textbooks can be left in the book donation bin across the street from the train station in Califon. Must have a ISBN bar code

Upstairs

Initially, the original 1979 thrift shop was located upstairs. Over the years renovations have opened up two floors and a welcoming area for coffee. Now offering a wide range of apparel and household products. Come in and check out our store for:

Men, women, and children clothing
Shoes, boots, and and sneakers
Books, movies, and music
Belta, ties and clothing accesories
Designer handbags
Evening gowns

Downstairs

The shop downstairs serves as an exceptional place to buy household items and jewelry. We also set up displays for decorations and items for holidays, including Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We carry merchandise like:

Dishes, glassware, and cookware
Gently used or new small appliances
Collectible items and figurines
Holiday items
Jewelry
Frames for paintings and photos

We are open on Saturday's 10am-2pm.

We take credit cards and have one central electronic cash register where customers can earn points toward future purchases.

We will accept donations on Saturday afternoons 1pm-3pm. Do NOT leave donations without first seeing a volunteer.
